Is full-day schooling for ages 3-5 a foregone conclusion?

UBC body promoting more institutional child care announces “Universal ‘Child Care’ Coming” before the so called “consultation” has even taken place or the “agency” to discuss it has been formed.

This group—the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP)—is led by leading daycare lobbyists Clyde Hertzman, Hillel Goelman, and Paul Kershaw. It is generously funded by provincial and federal tax dollars and dominates the BC Provincial Child Care Council. The daycare-industry stacked Council is opposed to full-day kindergarten. So the government created the Early Childhood Learning Agency—also dominated by HELP—to push full-day schooling for ages 3-5.
