2026 October – Kids First – FUND THE CHILD – BC ELECTION CHILD CARE DATA UPDATE
Child care policy is grossly unfair to most children and needs to be part of election debate.
Unreported data shows discrimination against children and parents:
- 47% age 0-5 use no non-parental child care
- only 25% of kids 0-12 are in regulated child care
- most get $0 despite over $1.6 billion spent on 28 funder bureaucracies
- higher income families get more funding
