Daycare has always caused serious infection risks for children and their families according to the peer reviewed research. Now COVID-19 causes fear in parents and staff, dramatically reducing attendance as well as labour supply.
Governments have established ‘safety’ protocols for hygiene and social distancing that are actually impossible with babies and young children. Yet top daycare lobbyists are back at it, demanding more money for their ideologically preferred life style, claiming that ‘economic recovery’ requires more mothers to be in full time jobs and to put their children in full time institutional ‘spaces’.
